Forsyth residents are advised to exercise caution due to high fire danger conditions expected Monday afternoon and into the evening. The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement on April 12, highlighting the risk associated with low relative humidity and dry fuels.

Relative humidities are predicted to drop to 30 percent or less and remain at that level for at least four hours on Monday. Winds will be from the southwest at speeds ranging from 5 to 12 miles per hour. These conditions, combined with ongoing drought, create a significant fire risk.

Residents who plan to burn outdoors are urged to consult their local burn permitting authorities to confirm whether outdoor burning is permitted. If burning is allowed, extreme caution should be used.
