NWS Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm near Brent, approximately 8 miles southwest of Forsyth, moving north at 25 mph. This storm carries hazards of 40 to 50 mph winds and an increased chance of a brief tornado.
While the primary impact from winds is expected to be minor damage to tree limbs and unsecured objects, the NWS states that localized rotation has been observed within the storm, indicating that a brief tornado could form quickly. Areas specifically impacted include Forsyth, Brent, and Collier.
