FORREST COUNTY – A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Forrest County, effective immediately from Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 4:11 PM CDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Jackson, MS, indicates tropical storm-force winds are possible within the next 48 hours.

Residents should act now to complete preparations. Winds of 39 to 57 mph are possible, with peak gusts up to 35 mph.
