Sessions are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with some exceptions for facility tours. For instance, the Session 2 facility tour on February 10, 2027, begins at 4:30 p.m., covering Public Safety, Public Works, and Utilities. Another tour at the Parks and Recreation Center during Session 5 on March 3, 2027, starts at 5:30 p.m.

The program is limited to 25 residents. Eligibility requires participants to be 18 years or older and current residents within Tequesta's incorporated limits. Full attendance is necessary to receive a certificate of completion and gain the maximum benefit from the curriculum. An application for the academy will become available later this year.
