Parkland Library Hosts 'Art and Messy Play' for Young Children Today, Sept. 18

Parkland Library welcomed young artists today, September 18, 2026, for its 'Art and Messy Play' program. The event, held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 6620 University Drive, provided children aged 2.5 to 5 years with an hour of creative exploration.

Ms. Jana, a certified Art Teacher, led the session, guiding children through various art stations. Parents assisted their children, fostering an environment for creative play and artistic expression. The program aimed to help young participants develop fine motor skills through engaging, hands-on activities.

The library designed 'Art and Messy Play' to introduce young children to art mediums in a simple and enjoyable way. These types of programs offer local families opportunities for early childhood development within the community.
