Nassau County Residents Meet on Data Center Development

CALLAHAN, FL – Residents gathered at West Nassau High School on June 2, 2026, for a public workshop hosted by the Fact-Finding Committee on Data Center Development. The meeting, which began at 5 p.m., sought community input on potential data center development.

Presenters included Kim Dinkins, Policy and Planning Director for 1000 Friends of Florida, who discussed land use; Emily Floore, Executive Director of St. Marys Riverkeeper, who addressed environmental concerns; and Jennifer Bryla, AICP, representing the American Planning Association Local Chapter, who spoke on planning and zoning.

A public comment period followed the presentations, allowing attendees to ask questions and share opinions on topics relevant to the committee's work. The committee then discussed additional business before adjourning.
