THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Draup, a company specializing in AI workforce transformation, released an analysis on September 17, 2026, detailing the effects of artificial intelligence on knowledge-worker compensation. The study examined millions of professional profiles across six different knowledge-work functions.

The analysis identified a pay premium ranging from 2.0 to 2.3 times for skills that AI systems do not replicate. These skills typically involve human judgment and complex decision-making, according to Draup.

Vijay Swaminathan, CEO and co-founder of Draup, stated, "Organizations are currently grappling with the challenge of quantifying the value generated by AI and subsequently distributing that value among the human workforce."

He added, "Our research provides a framework for organizations to make informed decisions regarding talent strategy as AI increasingly performs routine tasks."

The report indicates that AI's growing capability in execution-oriented tasks has led to a repricing of knowledge work. This repricing places a higher value on human judgment and strategic thinking.

Draup's research aims to provide businesses with data to understand these shifts and adapt their talent acquisition and development strategies accordingly. The company has focused on using AI to analyze talent trends and assist enterprises in managing their workforce.
