New World Symphony Announces 2026-27 Season at Arsht Center

The New World Symphony will present three one-night-only concerts at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts during its 2026-27 season. The season opens Nov. 14, 2026, at 8 p.m. with “Mozart’s Requiem.” Stephanie Childress will conduct the New World Symphony and the Master Chorale of South Florida, led by chorus master Brett Karlin. The program includes Mozart’s Requiem and Williams’ “Toward the Unknown Region.”

On Jan. 9, 2027, at 8 p.m., Anthony Parnther will lead “Disney’s Fantasia in Concert,” a live-to-film presentation of the animated musical anthology.

The series concludes Feb. 13, 2027, at 8 p.m. with “Rachmaninoff 2.” Leonard Slatkin will conduct, with cellist Steven Isserlis performing William Walton’s Cello Concerto. NWS Conducting Fellow Ziwei Ma will also participate. The program features Clyne’s “Masquerade,” Walton’s Cello Concerto, and Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2.
