Chester Borough Gets State Grant for EV Charger

Chester Borough will install a public electric vehicle charger in the municipal parking lot on Main Street, using a grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

The charger will serve residents and visitors downtown once installation is complete in the coming months. The NJDEP grant covers all installation costs.

Borough officials said the project supports the state's push to expand EV infrastructure as electric vehicle ownership grows across New Jersey.
