The candidate filing period for the 2026 Midterm Election begins on Tuesday, May 19, and closes on Tuesday, June 4. The filing fee is $5 and is done in the City Clerk’s Office at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW. City offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. About the Ramsey Fire DepartmentThe department has over 50 paid-on-call members who are state-certified firefighters and licensed EMS providers. Administrative staff includes a full-time Fire Chief, a Deputy Chief of Operations and Logistics, a Deputy Fire Chief of Training, a Fire Marshal, a Fire Inspector, and a Fire Technician. The department handles fires, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous material incidents, code inspections, building plan reviews, and community programs.
