DOJ Arrests Five in Alleged Plot Targeting White House UFC Event

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Justice Department announced the arrest of five individuals in connection with an alleged plot to attack a scheduled Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event at the White House this weekend.

Authorities apprehended the suspects. An arrest document from the Justice Department identifies one of the individuals as a 19-year-old man from Ohio. This individual stated he had been developing the attack plan. He further indicated his collaboration with a group of extremists. The document characterizes these individuals as holding both ultra-religious and anti-government views.
