Palm Coast Man Arrested for Child Sexual Abuse Material
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office arrested 33-year-old Jayson Jankowski on June 4 after a four-month investigation linked child sexual abuse material to his online accounts.
Detectives with FCSO's Cyber Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the Northeast Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force traced the material to Jankowski's cloud storage account. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline reported the uploads in February.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Jankowski's Beechwood Lane residence with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations and a SWAT team. A K-9 trained to detect electronic storage devices located multiple devices suspected of containing child sexual abuse material. Detectives seized the devices for forensic analysis.
Jankowski admitted to obtaining images and videos of minors for sexual gratification. He told detectives he sought out the material for the "thrill."
Jankowski faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He is held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on $250,000 bond. Additional charges may follow pending digital forensics analysis.
