Trial Court Staff Attorney Judicial Administration First Judicial Circuit Position number: 22011415 Closing Date: July 3, 2024 Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus State of Florida benefits Location: Tallahassee Description: Provide legal research and writing support for circuit and county court judges; analyze legal issues; prepare legal memoranda, orders, and opinions; assist judges in courtroom proceedings; and perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission to The Florida Bar. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures; legal research methods; techniques of legal writing and statutory interpretation; Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Appellate Procedure; Florida Statutes and Florida case law. The successful applicant must possess excellent legal research and writing skills. Computer proficiency and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
