DUTIES: This is a field position responsible for performing inspections of LP gas facilities to ensure compliance with Chapter 527, Florida Statutes and Rule 69A-12, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). Inspects LP gas operations for compliance with applicable laws and rules, including storage, handling, transportation, installation, and venting of LP gas. Conducts investigations of complaints and accidents involving LP gas. Prepares inspection reports and other required documentation. Provides technical assistance and information to the public, LP gas industry, and other agencies regarding LP gas safety. Participates in educational and training programs related to LP gas safety. Responds to emergency situations involving LP gas. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of LP gas codes, standards, and regulations. Skill in conducting inspections and investigations. Ability to interpret and apply LP gas codes, standards, and regulations. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to use computers and related software.
