First Christian Church Punta Gorda, Florida Worship Leader – Job Search First Christian Church of Punta Gorda, Florida, a vibrant and growing church, is seeking a full-time worship leader. We are seeking a passionate leader to join our team to help us lead our congregation in meaningful worship experiences. This person will work closely with the pastor and other staff members to plan and implement worship services that are engaging, relevant, and spiritually enriching. Position Summary: The Worship Leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading all aspects of the church’s worship services. This includes selecting music, leading rehearsals, and overseeing the technical aspects of worship. The Worship Leader will also work to develop and mentor other musicians and vocalists within the church. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and implement weekly worship services in collaboration with the pastor and other staff members. • Select music that is appropriate for the service and that is theologically sound. • Lead rehearsals for the worship team. • Oversee the technical aspects of worship, including sound, lighting, and video. • Develop and mentor other musicians and vocalists within the church. • Manage the worship budget. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • A deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. • A passion for leading others in worship. • Strong musical skills, including the ability to play an instrument and sing. • Experience leading worship in a church setting. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with others. • Bachelor’s degree in music or a related field preferred.
