OPS CITRUS GROVE SURVEYOR Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 Hourly Closing Date: 07/01/2024 Division of Plant Industry This is a temporary position with potential for benefits. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an OPS position located at the Cocoa Forestry Station. An employee in this position may be required to assist in citrus grove surveys. The successful candidate must be willing to work in the field, interact with citrus growers, and collect data in an accurate and timely manner. The employee must be able to follow instructions and work independently. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of plant identification and plant diseases is preferred. Ability to follow instructions, collect and record data, and work independently. Good communication skills are a plus. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid driver license. Must be able to work outdoors in hot and humid conditions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to walk long distances. SPECIAL NOTES: This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing.
