Mission Trip #LoveShowsUp Changes Lives in Guatemala

Fernandina Beach residents contributed to a weeklong mission trip to Porch de Salomon in Guatemala, which began on March 14, 2026. Missionaries from various parts of northeast Florida, including Fernandina Beach, gathered at the airport in Guatemala City to participate in the annual event.

Lucinda Lautz, a participant in the mission, described the entire experience as her favorite part of the trip. She highlighted the profound impact of the work, stating, "All of this coming together to create such a real, tangible change in the trajectory of an entire family is something only possible through God..."

The mission trip, organized by Memorial, aims to create tangible change in the lives of families in Guatemala. Participants from the Fernandina Beach area joined others from northeast Florida to contribute to this effort.
