Recent water samples collected from Cinco Bayou indicate that the water quality meets acceptable standards for recreational activities. The advisory was initially issued on April 12, 2024, due to a precautionary measure following a sanitary sewer overflow. Subsequent testing has confirmed that the water quality is now safe for swimming, fishing, and other water-related activities. The City of Fort Walton Beach would like to thank residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation during the advisory period.
