E. Broad Street Resurfacing Starts Thursday

Construction crews will begin resurfacing E. Broad Street on Thursday, April 30, 2026, after weather pushed back the start date. Work zones and detours are now in place.

Residents in the construction zone should expect disruptions to mail and trash service. Mail carriers will deliver when possible, but active construction may block access. The post office will hold mail until the next delivery window; residents needing urgent mail can call the Postmaster at 810-735-7072.

Priority Waste will collect trash from normal locations where access permits. If construction blocks pickup, residents should move cans to an accessible spot on their property or a neighbor's property on collection day.
