Enders Road Students Design Earth Day Coffee Sleeves

Staff Writer

Enders Road students design Earth Day coffee sleeves for Fayetteville cafes

Students at Enders Road Elementary created coffee sleeves distributed by four local businesses to spread environmental messages among Fayetteville coffee drinkers.

Holland Farms Bakery & Deli, SkyTop Cafe, Crepe Time Cafe, and Manlius Library are handing out the sleeves while supplies last. Each features student artwork and environmental advice ranging from "Plant more trees" to "Treat Earth like you treat others."

The Enders Road Site-Based Team, which includes teachers, parents, and administrators, organized the project around Earth Day on April 22. Assistant Principal Tom Cheevers said the goal was to extend the school's motto of "Life Needs Kindness" into the community.

The school encourages customers to recycle the sleeves after use.
