Previously held on Garfield Avenue adjacent to PrairieWalk Pond, the market has shifted to the Metra Parking lot off Main Street, accommodating roughly 25 vendors each week with diverse offerings from olive oils and fresh produce to jewelry, artwork and baked goods. Village officials hailed the move as a boost to downtown vibrancy, with free parking available in the Garfield lot, on Main Street, Burlington Avenue and commuter areas.

Market Manager Paula Gleason oversees operations, reachable at 630-222-3403 for vendor inquiries. Vendors select their dates flexibly, with discounts for multi-session or permanent spots; rents vary by season and products. Running Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Oct. 24, the no-admission event emphasizes its French Market distinction — more organized than a typical farmers market, featuring rotating merchants and no pets except service animals.

In Lisle, a DuPage County gem 25 miles west of Chicago, the expansion aligns with efforts to energize the downtown core amid post-pandemic recovery. Accessible via the Garden Walk east of the Main Street fountain, the market draws locals from Naperville and beyond, fostering community ties with crafts, clothing and plants.
