Kevin Kiley Reappointed Chancellor, Diocese of Fall River
Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha reappointed Kevin Kiley to a third five-year term as Chancellor and Chief Finance and Operating Officer of the Diocese of Fall River, effective April 18, 2026. Kiley will oversee financial and operational systems for 64 parishes, 18 schools, and affiliated organizations serving about 250,000 Catholics across Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands through 2031.
Kiley joined the diocese in 2016 after 23 years with the Archdiocese of Boston. Under his tenure, the diocese implemented certified financial audits, reconstituted governance boards, and modernized parish and school financial systems. The diocese's Safe Environment Enterprise, which screens and trains clergy, staff, and volunteers, ranked third among diocesan programs nationwide in a 2023 report by Voice of the Faithful.
"Kevin's leadership has been instrumental in restoring trust and building a strong foundation for the future of the Diocese," Bishop da Cunha said.
In his final term, Kiley plans to advance the Stronger Priests, Stronger Parishes, Stronger Church Initiative, support the diocese's first comprehensive capital campaign, strengthen long-term financial sustainability, and establish succession planning across diocesan boards under an Enterprise Risk Management framework.
