WASHINGTON D.C. – As National Hispanic Heritage Month begins, the President issued a message today, September 17, 2026, celebrating the significant achievements and ongoing contributions of Hispanic Americans to the nation. The message, released by the White House, highlights the community's role in shaping American culture, strengthening institutions, and advancing the American Dream.

The presidential statement emphasized the diverse ways Hispanic Americans have served the country, including in the U.S. Armed Forces, law enforcement, healthcare, religious leadership, and government. It noted their dedication to hard work, family, and faith as core values that enrich communities across the nation.

The administration reaffirmed its commitment to these enduring values and its mission to foster a stronger nation where all citizens have the opportunity to thrive. The message specifically mentioned The Working Families Tax Cuts Act, detailing provisions such as no tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security, an increased child tax credit, and the creation of "Trump Accounts" for American children. This legislation, according to the statement, aims to lower taxes for workers, seniors, and entrepreneurs, rewarding labor and economic drive.

National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed annually from September 15 to October 15, provides an occasion to recognize the rich culture and history of Hispanic Americans. The President's message concluded by stating that the courage, sacrifice, and perseverance of this community embody the best of the Republic, and expressed confidence in a bright future ahead.

The White House stated that as the nation marks this heritage month, the administration will continue to pursue "historic wins" and honor the contributions of the Hispanic American community.
