Fairdale residents in MLS areas 8 and 9, which include Anchorage, will soon receive updated property assessment notices from the Jefferson County PVA. In accordance with Kentucky State Law, the PVA reassesses residential properties on a rolling four-year cycle. For 2026, these specific areas are scheduled for reassessment.

The 2026 assessment notices will be mailed on April 24, and the new property values will be available on the PVA website at noon on the same day. This reassessment process is a routine part of maintaining accurate property valuations across the county.

To help property owners understand the reassessment process and learn how to appeal their property's assessed value, the PVA hosted several public information meetings earlier this year. These meetings, held in March and April, provided details on appeals and offered virtual attendance options via Zoom.

The window for property owners to appeal their 2026 assessed values opened on April 24, 2026, at noon EDT and will close on May 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. EDT. The initial step in the appeal process requires homeowners to complete the PVA Online Conference, accessible through the PVA website.

Assistance for the Online Conference was available from PVA staff at various locations and times. In-person daytime assistance was offered at the Northeast Regional Library and Middletown City Hall from April 24 through May 18. Evening assistance was provided on May 7 at Middletown City Hall and May 13 at Lyndon City Hall. Additionally, PVA staff were available by appointment at the PVA Office from April 24 to May 18, including Saturdays, May 9 and 16. Property owners needing telephone assistance or accommodations for limited mobility and technology access could also call to reserve a time.
