Calling All Young Artists and Writers! A Special Village Celebration for America 250 Burr Ridge Residents, Do you have a creative student at home? In honor of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, the Village of Burr Ridge invites our youngest residents to share their unique vision in the "We the People: America Through My Eyes" Art & Essay Contest. This is a wonderful chance for parents and grandparents to sit down with their children and talk about what the American story means to them. Whether it is a painting of their favorite local park or an essay about a person who inspires them, we want to see their talent shine! Contest Quick Facts: ⭐ Who: All K–12 Students (grouped by grade level). 🎨 What: Submit one original artwork or an essay (max 250 words). 🏆 Prizes: Winners receive a certificate, a prize, and a feature in the Oak Leaf Newsletter! 📅 Deadline: April 15, 2026.
