Wilson Reading System® Introductory Course is a 3-day instructor-led professional learning experience that provides participants with an overview of the Wilson Reading System® (WRS) and serves as the prerequisite for WRS Level I Certification Training. Designed for educators supporting students in grade two and above with persistent reading and phonological-coding deficits, this course explores -dyslexia, -structured literacy instruction, -student identification and placement, and -the principles of effective intervention. Participants will engage in learning focused on phonemic awareness, phonology, morphology, and orthography through explicit, systematic, and multisensory instructional practices. The course also introduces the standard ten-part WRS Lesson Plan, with opportunities to practice lesson planning and delivery while receiving modeling and feedback from a Wilson® Credentialed Trainer.
