Virtual Workshop for Tree Talkers (forest professionals)

About this Event
Help bring forest and environmental education to Idaho students.
Tree Talkers are forest professionals who represent the Idaho Forest Products Commission (IFPC) and Project Learning Tree (PLT) by leading classroom presentations and educational outreach using engaging, hands-on PLT activities. This three-session virtual training will prepare you to confidently facilitate environmental and forest education activities with K-12 students and educators and become part of a statewide network of professionals working to build forest literacy.
Workshop Outcomes
Gain hands-on experience with Project Learning Tree activities and develop practical facilitation techniques for engaging K-12 students.
Connect with other forest and natural resource professionals participating in the Tree Talker program. Build relationships, share ideas, and become part of a statewide community of forest literacy ambassadors.
Develop the skills and confidence to bring meaningful forest education experiences to Idaho students. Use your knowledge and professional experience to help students understand trees, forests, natural resources, and the people who work with them.
Receive a Tree Talkers teaching supply box to help you get started
The workshop is eligible for Continuing Forestry Education credits through SAF and Idaho Pro-Logger credits.
