The Tree Canopy Enhancement Program offers St. Augustine homeowners a chance to receive a free tree planted on their private property. Eligible residents can apply between June 2 and August 31, with site visits and selections finalized by fall. Plantings take place in January–February, and species range from small ornamentals to large shade trees. Participants must care for their trees post-planting, helping grow a greener, more resilient community—one yard at a time.
