The Shootouts
About this Event
The Shootouts recently presented a sold-out hometown acoustic trio concert titled New Song Night, during which they debuted 20 brand-new songs currently under consideration for their next album. The evening exceeded all expectations, with an enthusiastic audience and an electric atmosphere. Due to overwhelming demand, The Shootouts are bringing this unique performance to Columbus for a special encore presentation at Natalie's Grandview on Saturday, July 25, 2026.
Formed in Akron, Ohio, in October 2015, The Shootouts have grown into one of the most acclaimed roots-country bands in America, forging a sound that Rolling Stone hailed as perfect rustbelt country.
Blending honky-tonk grit with Americana storytelling, the band released their debut album, Quick Draw, in 2019, followed by Bullseye (2021), Stampede (2023), and Switchback (2025). Along the way, they've earned multiple award nominations, national press, and a reputation as tireless road warriors with a powerful live show.
Their breakthrough came with Stampede, co-produced by Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel. It became a Top 10 Americana album and reached No. 4 on the Americana Radio chart, while Nashville Scene named The Shootouts a Country Artist to Watch.
In 2023, The Shootouts made their debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage and have since appeared there 12 times. They followed that milestone with a Ryman Auditorium debut in 2025 during the Opry 100 celebrations. Their Opry debut outfits were later added to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Cleveland Rocks exhibit--an uncommon honor for a contemporary country band.
The band's most recent album, Switchback (2025), produced by Dan Knobler, features an all-star cast including Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, Sam Bush, Logan Ledger, Lindsay Lou, and Mickey Raphael. The album reached No. 4 on the Americana Radio Album Chart and remained in the Top 20 for 19 weeks, prompting Rolling Stone to declare it the sleeper Americana LP of the summer.
With collaborations spanning legends such as Rhonda Vincent, Marty Stuart, Chuck Mead, Raul Malo, and Buddy Miller--and performances alongside artists including Steve Earle, Sheryl Crow, and Charley Crockett--The Shootouts continue to carve out a singular place in modern American roots music.
