The Last Quiet Place: Libraries of the Berkshires with Coley Cary

About this Event
In The Last Quiet Place: Libraries of the Berkshires, photographer and writer Coley Cary is
creating a visual documentary of all 31 public libraries in Berkshire County, exploring the hidden
beauty and human stories that make each one unique. In this talk, Coley will share photographs
and experiences from her ongoing tour through the county, along with her motivation and
discoveries. More than a photography project, The Last Quiet Place is an exploration of spaces
and connection, it's a celebration of the gift we have in public libraries.
Coley Cary is a photographer and writer based in the Berkshires. She holds a degree in
Journalism and has spent more than a decade working professionally in photography. She has
