 CALENDAR OF UPCOMING MEETINGS: (All City meetings are open to the public)   SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Roanoke Rapids City Council will hold a Special Meeting (Budget Work Session) on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Lloyd Andrews City Meeting Hall, 700 Jackson Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC. The purpose of this work session is to facilitate discussions with department heads concerning their departmental budget priorities for the upcoming FY2026-2027 budget. Click link below. https://youtube.com/@CityofRR   *** CITY HALL IS OPEN  Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. The J. Reuben Daniel City Hall & Police Station is open to the public. City Hall houses the Police Department, Planning & Development Department, Finance & Tax/Revenue Collections Department, Human Resources, and the City Manager's Office. The City encourages visitors, if possible, to schedule an appointment prior to coming into City Hall. Members of the public continue to have the option to conduct business with the City of Roanoke Rapids by phone at (252) 533-2800 or online at www.roanokerapidsnc.com. Examples of services that can be conducted online include permit applications (such as building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permits); employment applications; and departmental information. The Magistrate’s office is open for business with public access at the back of the building. Below is a list of helpful phone numbers for those seeking to contact city staff. One is at the Public Works facility located at 1313 Hinson Street and the other is located behind TJ Davis Recreation Center next to the tennis courts, 500 E. 6th Street.  The public will have 24-hour access to these facilities for combined recyclable materials.
