Board Acts Out of Abundance of Caution Following Technical Issues During Public Comment The Arapahoe County Board of County Commissioners will reconsider its vote on proposed Short-Term Rental (STR) regulations at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The Board is taking this step out of an abundance of caution after learning of technical issues that may have prevented some members of the public from participating in online public comment during the original hearing. Although the Board approved the STR regulations following a public hearing, concerns were raised that connectivity or platform issues during the online comment period may have limited access for some residents who wished to weigh in. To ensure that all community members have had a full and fair opportunity to be heard, the Board has chosen to revisit the matter. The May 12 reconsideration will provide any residents who were unable to participate — or who were deterred from attempting to participate — during the original hearing the opportunity to provide public comment before the Board takes final action.
