Sarasota & Manatee Audubon Together: Sunset Walk at Celery Fields

There's nothing quite like the Celery Fields at golden hour--when the sky softens, the breeze settles over the wetlands, and the birds begin their evening movements across one of Sarasota's most beloved conservation landscapes. This special joint event brings Sarasota Audubon and Manatee Audubon together for a relaxed, community‑focused evening celebrating the beauty of our shared region and the partnerships that make conservation thrive. Guests will begin with a casual picnic dinner at the conservation center, a chance to unwind, connect with fellow nature lovers, and enjoy the sweeping views that make the Celery Fields such a treasured hotspot for birding and photography. As the sun begins its descent, Sarasota Audubon guides will lead a gentle, informative walk through the trails on the hill to see the migrating birds--highlighting seasonal species, pointing out wildlife behavior unique to dusk, and sharing insights into the restoration and stewardship efforts that keep this habitat flourishing. This sunset walk is designed for all experience levels, from curious beginners to seasoned naturalists. Together, we'll explore the sights and sounds of the wetlands at one of the most magical times of day, strengthening the bond between our chapters and celebrating the landscapes we work to protect. It's a simple, beautiful way to enjoy nature, build community, and end the day with purpose.
