William Herbert and Devin Williams stood center stage earlier this school year, bringing characters to life in the Farmingdale High School Playcrafters production of The SpongeBob Musical. Their dedication recently earned them a spot as nominees for Outstanding Performer in a Musical through the Broadway Education Alliance. Out of students from over 100 high schools, our two performers are among the 50 selected for this honor. Director Jessica Mischke nominated both students for their exceptional work. They will now participate in professional coaching sessions before the Roger Rees Awards Showcase on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in New York City. At this event, judges will announce the Top 12 performers. The accolades continue for the district’s performing arts program. Teacher Glen Beck nominated Lea Fredonis, who earned New Faces Honors for Excellence in Solo Performance. Lea is one of only 30 students recognized for her specialized skill in acting. These honors highlight the incredible talent within our schools and the bright futures awaiting these performers. We look forward to cheering them on as they represent Farmingdale High School on a professional stage this spring.
