On Tuesday, June 9, primary elections will be held in Maine.  Voting in Presque Isle will take place at the Sargent Family Community Center located at 24 Chapman Road from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The election ballot does include Ranked Choice Voting. Sample ballots may be viewed at the City Clerk’s Office at Presque Isle City Hall, 12 Second Street, twenty-one days prior to the election.  Absentee ballots will be available beginning by May 11.  For more information on absentee ballots, please contact City Clerk Kim Finnemore at (207) 800-3488 or by email at [email protected].  On Thursday, May 14, Vanessa Diaz Gaumond from the Maine Secretary of State Department will be in Presque Isle to provide a non-partisan educational program about how Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) works. The program will include a mock election that attendees may try.  The presentation will be held at the Turner Memorial Library from 5:30 to 7:00pm.
