The City will be holding public information meetings for the proposed water rate increase on Wednesday, March 25, and Wednesday, April 8. These meetings are an opportunity to learn more about the proposed increase, ask any questions you may have, and engage with City staff on this topic prior to the April 20th Public Hearing. Times are as follows: Wednesday, March 25, 2026: 5:00 PM Wednesday, April 8, 2026: 6:00 PM Both public information meetings are open to everyone and will be held in the Clovis City Council Chamber located at 1033 Fifth Street. The proposed rate increase was introduced as a result of a Water Rate Study conducted by an independent consultant. The goal of the study was to provide a review of the current budget and identify adjustments that would be necessary in the near future to help the City maintain its current level of service and adequately plan for necessary maintenance of crucial water infrastructure. The City has not had a water rate increase since 2009. If the proposed new rates are implemented, they will take effect on January 1, 2027.
