About this Event

On May 29, 2026, Loudoun County posted a notice of willingness to hold a public hearing for the Route 7 and Countryside Boulevard Shared-Use Paths and Sidewalk project. The notice period ends on June 13. This project will be constructed as part of the Sidewalk and Trail Program and includes the following planned improvements: A sidewalk along the east side of Countryside Boulevard from Cromwell Road to Route 7. A shared-use path along the north side of Route 7 from Countryside Boulevard to Palisade Parkway. A shared-use path along the west side of Palisade Parkway from Route 7 to Tripleseven Road. Requests for a public hearing must be made in writing and submitted by mail to the address: ATTN: Mr. Al Alobaidi by June 13, 2026, at the Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure, P.O. Box 7500, Leesburg, Virginia 20177-7500. Please refer to the project name in the subject line. The Route 7 and Countryside Boulevard Shared-Use Path and Sidewalk project is currently in the design phase. Construction is currently estimated to begin by spring 2029. Funding for this project includes Smart Scale funding administered by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). (State Project: 0007-053-282, P101, R201, C501/UPC 125696/Federal: NHPP-5B01 (698)) About the Sidewalk and Trail Program Loudoun County’s Sidewalk and Trail Program addresses missing bicycle and pedestrian links within the county based on comparing the existing bicycle and trail network and the proposed network highlighted in the 2019 Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP).
