Official Class Ring Ceremony

Sunday, Nov. 22 | 1 p.m. George Watts Hill Alumni Center, The Carolina Club, Alumni Halls Celebrate Your Carolina Story The Official Class Ring Ceremony is a meaningful Carolina tradition that honors the accomplishments of students and alumni who have earned the right to wear the official University of North Carolina class ring. Held each semester, the ceremony celebrates your journey with ring presentations, inspiring speakers and the cherished tradition of dipping your ring in Old Well water, a symbolic moment that marks your lifelong connection to Carolina. Students and alumni who purchase an official class ring by Oct. 2 will have their ring presented during the ceremony. If you place your order after Oct. 2, your ring will not be ready in time for the ceremony. You're still welcome to participate, and you'll receive a presentation box as a placeholder so you can share in the experience. Eligible participants who meet the order deadline will receive a registration link by email. Important Information Students: Attendance is required if you would like to receive your ring during the ceremony. If you're unable to attend, your ring may be picked up at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center after the ceremony. Rings cannot be picked up before the event. Alumni: Attendance is optional, but we would love to celebrate with you. Production timeline: Because each official class ring is custom made, please allow six to eight weeks for production to ensure your ring is ready for the ceremony. Questions?
