Come enjoy the night sky with members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh. We'll start the evening with a short, astronomy themed presentation, and then attendees will be invited to look through member's telescopes and observe star clusters, nebulae and even galaxies. The topic of the presentation will be binocular astronomy. We'll discuss binocular basics, their use and what you can see. Once it gets dark, we'll have a station set up with astronomers using a laser pointer to pinpoint specific targets for you to observe through you're own binoculars. Do you have a telescope, but aren't sure how to use it? Bring it along and one of our members will answer questions and help you get it set up.
