OCTA Inland Slope Rehabilitation Project
About this Event
The Orange County Transportation Authority is beginning work on a slope rehabilitation project along the Metrolink railroad tracks at three locations in Lake Forest. This project is designed to maintain the safety and stability of the rail corridor.
Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., with work occurring in phases across three designated areas. Areas 1 and 2 are expected to begin the week of April 13 and continue for approximately four weeks. Area 3 is scheduled to begin the week of April 27 and will last about six weeks.
As part of the project, Ridge Route Drive beneath the railroad tracks will be temporarily closed during construction activities in Area 2. Detour information and the latest project updates are available on OCTA’s website.
Residents and commuters should expect construction related noise during work hours. Train horns may also sound when crews are working within the rail right of way.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen operational needs.
