Noises Off

Shelby County Players will be presenting Noises Off at The Wortman Family Civic Theatre beginning Friday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Called the funniest farce ever written, Noises Off is a chaotic backstage farce-within-a-farce following a mediocre theatre troupe performing a bawdy comedy called Nothing On. Noises Off is directed by Tiffany D. Wilson. Following the Oct. 2 opening, performances will continue Oct. 3, 9, and 10 at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees on October 4 and 11 at 2:00 p.m. The Wortman Family Civic Theatre is located at 1416 Miller Ave. in Shelbyville. Cast Members of Noises Off include Laura Stieneker-Taylor, Carey Nigh, Tyler Amos, Bre Knopf, Jeff Haber, Alyssa Lay, Brian Heaton, Kara Hartman, and DéJon LéTray Marshall-Fisher. Tickets can be purchased online at ShelbyCountyPlayers.org, or by calling the box office at 317-392-6844. **Due to its mature content, Noises Off is recommended for audience members 17 and over.
