Jacky Terrasson is one of the most internationally celebrated pianists in jazz, described by Télérama as the "piano player of happiness" for his exuberant performances that leave audiences exhilarated. Born in Berlin to an American mother and French father and raised in Paris, Terrasson rose to global prominence after winning the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition in 1993.
