About this Event

Thursday June 4Jack Fords with Slow Groove Kings at Grog ShopDoors 7 PM | Show 8 PMAll Ages$12 advance / $15 day of show+ $3 at the door if under 21 The Jack Fords, a quartet formed in Cleveland, have been a beacon of rocknroll light since 2005. Twice awarded Cleveland Scenes Best Rock Band, the songs they write and play are fueled by a mixture of eras: the slick hot-rod 50s, back-to-the-land 60s, and the sweaty leather 70s. Their fiery performances push the envelope of deft musicality into teetering punk-ethic chaos.Clevelands Slow Groove Kings deliver a smoky, hypnotic blend of Southern soul, late-night rock, and dive-bar mysticism. The five-piece band is led by frontman and songwriter Brett Potts, whose voice anchors a sound that shifts between grit and grace. The Kings lineup includes guitarist Tim Parnin, bassist Chris Nunnari, drummer Zach Horstman, and vocalist Autumn Skye, whose haunting harmonies and rising melodies bring a captivating sweetness. Together, they craft songs that simmer with tension and atmosphere, balancing raw emotion with restrained power.Their debut release, The Nashville Vampire Supper Club EP (August 2025), invites listeners to the bands cinematic soundsomewhere between the dynamic energy of The Pixies, the ghostly calm of Mazzy Star, and the brutal honesty of Johnny Cash. The band is currently working on their second album and is set to release tracks early summer of 2026.
