About this Event

October 21-25, 2026 GoggleWorks Center for the Arts 201 Washington St., Reading, PA 19601 Step into worlds beyond imagination at the 19th Annual IX Art Show, returning to GoggleWorks Center for the Arts October 21-25. IX is a one-of-a-kind celebration of imaginative realism, an artistic genre that pairs classical techniques with fantastic, mythological, surreal, and visionary subjects. Founded in 2008, IX has grown into the largest display of original imaginative realist art in the world, bringing together artists, collectors, students, and fans for five days dedicated to the fantastic. At the heart of the event is the IX Main Show, a juried exhibition featuring more than 90 artists working in traditional media. Explore 18,000 square feet of artwork spread across three floors of GoggleWorks, meet the artists behind the work, watch impromptu demonstrations, and discover an extraordinary collection of original paintings, drawings, sculpture, and more. Whether you're a longtime fantasy art collector, an artist looking for inspiration, or simply curious to experience something completely different, IX offers the chance to immerse yourself in art that explores the unreal, the unseen, and the impossible. 2026 Main Show Hours Wednesday, October 21: 6-9 PM Thursday, October 22: 10 AM-5 PM Friday, October 23: 10 AM-5 PM Saturday, October 24: 10 AM-5 PM Sunday, October 25: 10 AM-5 PM Tickets and additional information are available through the IX Art Show website.
