Intercessory Prayer The word intercessor has roots in Greek and the Greek meaning is to meet with, come between. Intercessory prayer is prayer before God on behalf of others. This group is comprised of individuals who essentially stand in the gap lifting up the needs and concerns of others to God. It is an expression of agape or selfless love.
