The City of Largo’s Recreation, Parks & Arts Department is hosting its first Home Run Derby for baseball and softball players ages 16 and older. The derby will take place on Saturday, February 7, starting at 8am at the Whitesell Softball Complex.  Designed for athletes who want to test their power at the plate, participants will have three minutes (or up to 40 pitches) to qualify for playoffs. This event will feature machine-pitched softballs provided by RPA staff, and scores will be based solely on home runs.  Registration is required by January 30 with $25 entry. Late registration is available with a $35 late fee.
