Holiday Meal and Performance
About this Event
Pullman Parks and Recreation has partnered with United Way of Whitman County to continue providing congregate senior meals at the Pullman Senior Center.
United Way of Whitman County raised over $7,500 on Giving Tuesday, which was matched by Vision and Values Cornerstone Wealth Strategies, resulting in a total of $15,000 to allocate to senior meals in Pullman. These funds will be used to continue providing meals for seniors at the Pullman Senior Center on Tuesdays and Fridays for the next three months, beginning last Friday, December 12, 2025.
These funds will also enable the Pullman Senior Center to host a Holiday Meal for seniors on Friday, December 19, at 12:00 p.m. Seniors are invited to arrive early for a holiday performance by the Pullman Parks and Recreation Preschool at 11:30 a.m.
Pullman Parks and Recreation, Aging and Long-Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW), and other community service providers and partners are working diligently to find an organization to continue providing ongoing weekly meals at the Pullman Senior Center, which includes providing cooks, food, a licensed dietician, and the administration necessary to work with ALTCEW to fund meals.
“Providing meals at the Pullman Senior Center is a top priority,” said Recreation Manager Megan Vining. “We hope to continue working with local community groups to provide this valuable service.”
The Pullman Senior Center is located at 190 SE Crestview Street, Building B, Pullman, WA 99163.
