HAMPTONS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL: PAPER TIGER

114 min • Narrative Feature • USA • 2026 In 1980s New York City, Irwin (Miles Teller) leaps into a too-good-to-be-true business opportunity with his ex-cop brother Gary (Adam Driver) in order to better provide for his wife Linda (Scarlett Johansson) and their children. When the brothers find themselves entangled in the dangerous world of the Russian mafia, their trust begins to fray with life-altering consequences. With a gripping screenplay and outstanding lead performances, writer-director James Gray (TWO LOVERS, HIFF 2008) delivers a suspenseful, deeply felt drama that searches the darkness of the criminal underworld to illuminate the enduring strength of family bonds.
