Read: John 18:1-19 In this passage, we encounter Christ as he is being apprehended and arrested. We notice that Christ orchestrates his own arrest, identifies himself to his captors, and asks that those who have been mistaken for him are set free. What’s crucial to note is Christ knew that he would be arrested, betrayed by those closest to him, and subsequently crucified.
