About this Event
On July 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the RHJ Rec Center Lecture Hall, will be our monthly speaker opportunity this month's topic is The Science of Ergonomics.
Ergonomics is the study of the interface (both physical and cognitive) between the work environment and people for the purpose of increasing safety and reducing errors. Ergonomics is an eclectic, applied discipline that draws from many sciences: anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology and mathematics (especially statistics). In this presentation, we will learn about the component disciplines and their relevance to ergonomics. Also, since this is a highly applied field, we will investigate applications of the field that the participants can apply in daily activities.
